Sarah Kramer-Harrison and The Night Promises
Sarah Kramer-Harrison and The Night Promises bring a soulful, magnetic energy to the stage, grounding their performance in the rich, storied soil of the Hudson Valley music scene. Led by singer-songwriter Sarah Kramer-Harrison, the band is a collective of Ulster County’s most formidable musical talent—players who anchor many of the most in-demand ensembles across the region. Together, they create a sound that is as technically refined as it is raw, offering performances that are deeply honest, impeccably crafted, and undeniably engaging.
The Voice of a Legacy
Sarah Kramer-Harrison was born to sing. Raised in the heart of the Woodstock rock renaissance, she grew up in a household where art was both vocation and spirit—the daughter of a skilled luthier and a gifted psychiatric nurse practitioner. Her early years were spent playing among the giants of music; she built her first instrument at seven, performed at the World Expo at 12, began singing professionally at 14, and by 16, was already apprenticing as a recording engineer in one of the region’s busiest studios. With a decade of classical cello training and extensive experience touring in youth theater as a triple-threat performer, Sarah’s foundation is as diverse as it is deep.
A Craft Honed at the Source
This evolution led naturally to a dual degree from Berklee College of Music in Voice and Music Production/Sound Engineering. As a songwriter and producer, Kramer-Harrison crafts original material that captures the attention of the very legends who shaped her upbringing. Her undeniable talent has made her a sought-after collaborator and performer, leading to career-defining moments:
