What is your Process?

 There is no one way to write a song. The underlying theme that carries through my music is commitment to honesty.  I am an intuitive writer.   Instead of focusing on the theory I leave the writing to my mind, ear and heart to find the melody and lyric that is most honest to the idea or feeling I want to express.  I find the re-write is vital to a successful song.   I frequently scour the thesaurus for words that will express my idea in a new way.  The questions I most frequently ask myself are.  "How can I say this in a new way?"  "How can this melody shift to better support the lyric?"
